Teach you how to make your own pineapple flavored winter melon tea

Winter melon tea is a long-standing summer refreshing drink among the people. It is a concentrated drink made from winter melon and rock brown sugar and boiled over a long period of time. Winter melon has the effects of whitening, removing freckles, reducing dryness, and removing edema. And it has been recognized as a good product for weight loss since ancient times. Brown sugar contains a molasses component, which has a strong detoxification effect, and also has the effects of removing freckles and whitening. But I don’t usually drink winter melon tea. I always feel that it tastes like drinking sugar water, so I want to add some flavor to the winter melon tea to balance the sweetness. After thinking about it, I decided to add pineapple and try something new. taste.

Ingredients: 700g winter melon (weight after peeling and removing seeds), 750g brown sugar, 100g brown sugar, 100g pineapple chunks.

practice:

1. Peel the winter melon and cut into small pieces. Cut it thinly. Smaller winter melon will release water more easily.

2. Add brown sugar to the cut winter melon.

3. Use chopsticks to mix the sugar and winter melon evenly and leave it for 1 hour. The water will come out after the winter melon is pickled with sugar. (Tossing in between will help the sugar dissolve faster.)

4. After an hour, the winter melon will produce a lot of water.

5. Place the pot on the gas stove and heat it to boil while stirring with chopsticks. (I use a non-stick pan which is less likely to stick and is easier to clean later.)

6. Add brown sugar and bring to a boil.

7. Add pineapple chunks and cook until the water evaporates, about 2-2.5 hours. During this time, stir slightly so that the bottom does not stick to the pot. (The cooking time will vary depending on the amount of cooking.)

8. Cook until it is very thick and there are sugar crystals on the sides of the pot and on the chopsticks. Dip the chopsticks into the syrup to slow down the dripping speed.

9. When the syrup is dropped into cold water, it will condense. If it spreads, it means that the water has not been boiled dry. Continue cooking until it is dropped into cold water and it will condense.

10. After pinching out the pineapple pieces, pour them into a baking pan that has been lined with anti-stick aluminum foil. (I use anti-stick aluminum foil. Aluminum foil is thicker and has good anti-stick effect. You can also use baking paper. Generally, aluminum foil is thin and will stick to the winter melon tea bricks, so it is not recommended.)

11. Let it sit until it is slightly cool and the surface is semi-solidified. Then use a dough cutter to cut the winter melon tea bricks into small pieces. (It will harden if completely cooled, making it difficult to cut.)

12. Cool completely and then peel it to get winter melon tea bricks. Store in the refrigerator.

13. 300g of peeled winter melon tea bricks, add 1500cc of water and cook.

14. Boil until the tea brick is completely dissolved. You can filter out the winter melon dregs or not. I put less water and the brewed winter melon tea will be sweeter. In this way, the winter melon dregs soaked in it will not lose its sweetness. When drinking, add cold water or ice cubes according to your preferred sweetness.

15. The winter melon dregs will sink to the bottom, so I fill two cold water bottles, scoop out the one without winter melon dregs on it first, and put the rest separately. You can drink any kind you want. I like winter melon tea with winter melon dregs. Drinking with a straw, there is melon meat in every mouth, it is very special! Which one do you want to drink?

Tips: 1. All brown sugar can be replaced with brown sugar, which is disaccharide. 2. The more the amount is cooked, the longer the cooking time must be. It must be cooked until all the water evaporates, and then the sugar will crystallize. You can test it by dropping the syrup into cold water. If it condenses, it is ready. .
